Biocomp provides stable and safe jobs in waste management for women and young people in Kathmandu valley. Providing decent work in a country where most waste employees work in devastating circumstances was one of our motivations behind starting Biocomp. We train our staff in occupational health and safety and provide personal protection equipment to ensure a safe working environment, thus creating a positive and content team spirit. Biocomp covers all its staff and their family with health and accident insurance, and offers income security. Even during the difficult times of the Corona crisis, Biocomp continued paying salaries when most companies laid off most of their staff.
Nepal is highly dependent on remittance and has hardly any industry to employ its citizens. Many Nepalis have to work abroad, far away from their families and friends. Biocomp is expanding its activities and building another factory for plastic recycling to create more jobs so more Nepalis can make a decent living without having to leave their country.
